About Albergo Terme Villa Svizzera
The Albergo Terme Villa Svizzera, was built at the beginning of the 20th century as a private villa and in the 1940s it was converted into a hotel, one of the first ones on the island.
It was in Lacco Lacco Ameno and Casamicciola Terme that tourists first came in those years, attracted not only by the natural beauty and the colours of the island, but also by the properties of the thermal waters of the area as they were considered to be amongst the most beneficial.
Since those first years the Albergo Villa Svizzera was renovated many times and today it welcomes our guests with its elegance. The warm and welcoming atmosphere in the spacious salons is enhanced by details in the classical style of the villa.
The restaurant, the drawing room and the terraces all enjoy a view on the sea and on Lacco Ameno. The lush garden - park, full of majestic palm trees and flowering plants, surrounds three buildings that set the hotel and the large outdoor swimming pool with sea water.
Rooms
The hotel rooms, housed in three separate buildings, almost all have their own balcony or terrace and look onto the garden or towards the sea. Each one is equipped with telephone, hair dryer, Satellite TV and air conditioning.
Pools and sea
The outdoor pool filled with sea water is set whithin the lush green of the hotel garden, surrounded by flowers and tall palm trees. The sun terrace is equipped with beds and unbrellas providing relaxing corners of shade. While you soak in the pool, work at your suntan and enjoy the breath of the nearby sea the natural elements of Ischia work their magic on your body.
The indoor pool, filled with thermal water, features hydro massage faucets and a temperature between 32 and 34°C, ideal for bathing also in cooler weather.
The beach of “San Montano” and the famous Negombo Thermal Park are only 800 mt from the hotel.
Restaurant
In the large dining hall with the lovely view of the seaside in Lacco Ameno, guests are welcomed in the morning by a rich buffet which among other delicacies features an selection of home made pastries.
A choice of menus is provided for lunch and for dinner, with dishes from the local and from the regional traditions, as well as a rich buffet with a selection of starters, vegetables and salads.
Spa
The therapeutic use of thermal waters was already popular with the Romans who, especially in the areas surrounding the Bay of Naples discovered the benefits of these waters on the human body. After a long cycle, the water from the rain and from the sea that filters through the various underground strata as far down as the hot earth crust, returns towards the surface and collects in reservoirs a few metres below sea level. Amongst the many thermal treatments available, mud packs and wraps are the most beneficial. After maturing for 6 months in thermal water the mud absorbs all its therapeutic properties and releasing them when applied on the body. Thermal baths, inhalations, aerols and natural saunas are the means by which the benefits of our waters can
best be enjoyed.
