Museo del Mare
The Museo del Mare is set in the oldest and most prestigious building of the municipal patrimony, in the Village of Celsa: the Clock Tower in Ischia Ponte. Opened in late 1996, it wants to express the peculiarities of the island history. The earth was born from the sea, the land that has always found its destiny in the sea, work and love, has the right to collective memory visible. Museum objects and specimens exposed to the enjoyment of the public are the concrete result of the voluntary work done by a group of people driven purely by passion and curiosity for its own historical, social and cultural roots.
