The Cantine Pietratorcia at the ancient Mattera bookshop, organizes every year, at the tasting point, interesting cultural events in one of the most characteristic streets of Forio walking distance from the harbor in the city center.
Tasting wines and sampling small delicacies inspired to the country and Mediterranean cuisine of the island of Ischia, you’ll return back in time to the discovery of strong and genuine tastes of this lovely land. Unforgettable is bread and tomato: bread is leavened with criscito and baked in the oven, the tomatoes are small and round, thanks to the generous sun and volcanic soil of the island, are tasty and sweet ; basil scented oil is strictly fragrant olive oil strictly do the rest.
Then small fried batter and herbs, cheeses and cold cuts rediscovered in small towns of the Campania and a thousand other tastes.
