The island flavor than once
I discovered this book in the Ischian library of my cousin Vera Menegazzi Malcovati’s house, where I was used to come for holidays. I was at the beginning of my English studies and it was not easy for me to read it, but I decided I wanted to put it in Italian. I was young and it took me a long time to translate it, partly because my everyday life was quite busy (I got married,
The garden of the convent told by Nicola Mattera
We start from here. With who? Along with Nicola Mattera, ar-chitect. Where. At the Aragonese Castle and its fluorishing heart. Loved. Reanimated. In the midst of the sea. To the northeast. Here, like a stamp pasted to the most beautiful postcard, which for me is the symbolic center of gravity of the Mediterranean civi-lization, I go back in search of history. Here with Nicola’s father, Gabriele, an artist known in the world, I have collected some of the most significant professional experi-ences of my life. And here where I come to soar this book. With his mother, his sister and their families, Nicola is the guardian of the monumental area of the insula mi-nor fortified
Forio is the conjunction of ancient mysteries

The Greek period, dating back to the eighth century BC, finds its most significant testimony in the discovery of the Cup of Nestor,
Visconti who is?
Luchino Visconti, great genius of the theater and cinema now on the occasion of the 40 years after his death and 110 after birth, chose the island of Ischia as the ideal “buen retiro creativo” to wait for some of his works that became “masterpieces”. In this perspective, in the wood of Zaro, on the northern coast of Forio, bought a villa – La Colombaia - that, in time, and after the death of the master, has become a kind of controversial and mythologized outpost for the Italian culture and not just .
Forio, Discovering Manuel Di Chiara
I have to bother a bit of strong loves. Pictorial, that is. Because I like to create a conceptual tunnel under the skin of the visible, but in my image, to try to explain in short - an artist. For a character like Manuel Di Chiara I follow this plot, with the help of our photographer Enzo Rando, who met with him at the atelier in the alley behind the Church of San Gaetano, in Forio.
